One of my most specific luxuries? Oysters. Preferably accompanied by bubbles. Or mimosas.
Luckily, Amsterdam is full of hidden gems and stylish hotspots where you can indulge without breaking the bank. From elegant brasseries to sexy wine bars, here are my go-to places to slurp - whether you're celebrating something big or simply romanticising a Tuesday.

Lately, my TikTok algorithm has been taken over by all things Mamma Mia. Think dramatic lip-syncs, girls dancing on cliffs in flowy dresses, and everyone suddenly craving feta. Maybe I’m just cheesy, but maybe TikTok knows something I hadn’t said out loud yet: I’ve fallen in love with a Greek. A Greek restaurant, to be exact.
They say the best views come after the hardest climbs - but in Amsterdam, all it takes is an elevator ride and a cocktail menu. Here are 5 rooftop terraces you can’t miss this summer.
And then, I just stood there, wondering how you can stop recognising someone you once loved so deeply - after only a few weeks. The song Somebody That I Used to Know has been looping in my head like a bad soundtrack. Fitting, sure. But still, incredibly fucking annoying.

Too often, I’m let down: not enough sauce, thick undercooked bacon or simply a lack of flavour. Not at Prins&Aap though. They have mastered the art of the perfect eggs Benedict - and that’s not the only thing that makes their brunch one of the best in Amsterdam.
I’ve always loved romanticising my life. Thinking of it like a TV show. Wondering: what would the audience be screaming at me right now? What ships would they have? Never in a million years did I think I'd end up like Rachel in Friendswith a guy telling me he didn’t regret kissing another girl (he actually ‘liked’ it), because ‘WE WERE ON A BREAK’.
And just like that, I was single…
You can wake me up for a good glass of champagne. Or crémant. I don’t discriminate. (But please don’t offer me prosecco… unless we’re on a budget airline and that’s all they’ve got.) That said, there’s a difference between loving wine and simply perfecting the wine-glass-holding pose for Instagram.
Here’s 3 wine tips for beginners!
